Someday I hope I'll own my dream car. My Favourite

car is the Volkswagen New Beetle . I think it is a cute , spiffy looking car that was built

to last . It was made in Germany . In fact , you can still see one of two early Beetle

models on the road . A special thing about this car is that its engine was housed in

the rear of the car in the early editions . The New Beetle however , houses it in front

of the car .

You can say that the Volkswagen Beetle received international

recognition . It was popular in Europe , America and Asia . In Mexico , ot was so popular because it was also used as taxi .

The Volkswagen New Beetle was designed in 1938

as a small , economical car and it quickly became popular . In 1998 , many years after the original model had been dropped from the lineup in most of the world production , the New Beetle was introduced , borrowing on the design of the original but given a modern make-over.

A futuristic twist on the classic car was welcome change The contemporary colors it came in like green and red made it a big hit among yuppies .

Cute , sporty and widely popular , it's not suprising that

"Volks Wagen" means "The People's Car" in the German language . Bitten by the Beetle bug , I can only hope that Volkswagen New Beetle will become my car one day ... Even though I've heard that production of the car will end this year ... =(((
